Marshfield Kids at Play held a Family Day Event on April 4th. We had over 1,000.00 attendees and raised $8,000.00!
Thank you Marshfield for Supporting & Approving Article 16 at Town Meeting!
TWENTY YEARS AGO, Marshfield
parents recognized that their children needed a community playground. Over a two
year period, those parents raised in excess of $50,000 for that purpose.
For twelve hours a day, over five consecutive days, more than 1,500 people came
together and worked toward that common goal. The result: the Marshfield
Mazes.
Today, the Mazes are no more and Marshfield children find
themselves once again without a community playground. The children for whom
the Mazes were built are now adults and parents, ready to repeat history with
the construction of a new community playground. The result: Marshfield Kids
at Play, Inc..
Marshfield
Kids at Play, Inc., is a non-profit corporation formed by nearly a dozen
Marshfield parents and residents. MKAP’s goal is simple: to build
a community playground for the next generation of children. More than that,
MKAP wants to build a playground that is accessible to those of all abilities,
one that allows the 1 in 10 children with physical disabilities to participate
equally with their peers, use a slide or play four feet above the ground for the
first time. That is MKAP’s mission.
We need your help.
We need your time, your interest and your imagination. We need your energy,
your enthusiasm, and your commitment to make this happen. There are many
opportunities to become involved in over a dozen different areas. All are
necessary to make this playground a reality. Please contact us at contact@Marshfieldkidsatplay.com
